This week we’re with theSweeten network member Allied Arborcraft to give you a closer look at the materials and finishes used in their recent Brooklyn loft renovation (–for before & after overalls of this construction project, check out last week’s post). The loft owners were introduced to Allied Arborcraft after posting their renovation to theSweeten, and their completed project has everyone very excited about the results! Read on to see some great pendants, wallpaper, paint colors and more.

Looking head-on at the new loft’s bedrooms. The master bedroom is off to the right, behind a flush wall of birch plywood panels, and the volume in the center is the new second bedroom which will be the perfect space for a youngster.

The second bedroom features oak-faced stairs that lead to a mezzanine level, as well as some creative, custom storage solutions that make the small space highly functional.

Up on the mezzanine, the homeowners chose to accent the walls in Blue Heather by Benjamin Moore. After construction was finished, they also added their own DIY touch using these carpet tiles from Flor. The built-in niches will be perfect for a sleeping nook and additional storage.

Back outside the bedroom we can see the craftsmanship and detailing of the space through an operable, interior window.

Here’s Gregg Resnick, the happy owner of Allied Arborcraft.

We really love the loft’s set of teardrop shaped pendants, Liquid Light Drop 2 from the Studio of Hopf & Wortmann, available at Olighting.

Organic accents in the master bedroom include this coral pendant by David Trubridge Designs, available on Y Lighting. On the walls, the homeowners used a tree-printed wallpaper which was actually repurposed from their wedding decor. The print is called Enchant by Graham & Brown. For accent walls they also used a pale green hue called Celery Salt by Benjamin Moore.

Also in the master bedroom, sliding closet doors in birch ply were carefully selected to book match the grain.

A new master bathroom was added to the layout during the renovation. The clean design features white metro subway tiles from Nemo Tile. The walls are Benjamin Moore’s Chelsea Gray.

The floor is finished with Pietre d’Italia porcelain tiles in Grigio. The new vanity is from Ikea’s Godmorgon series and the medicine cabinet above is by Robern.

We’re so glad we could help this couple find the perfect contractor for their renovation! Many thanks to the homeowners and to Gregg Resnick & his team at Allied Arborcraft.
