Last week we gave you a rundown on the cost of custom built-in shelving. This week as a follow up, we’re sharing a book-loving Brooklynite’s renovation. This project was recently posted to theSweeten and awarded to Ecostruct; Amanda, the homeowner, was looking to replace her existing galley kitchen with a nook for storing her books. The new design is attractive and affordable, made from Ikea Lagan countertops and Closetmaid track brackets, it was inspired by a feature in the March issue of Lucky Magazine. It’s such a cool yet simple idea that lots of people took notice, including Apartment Therapy & The City Sage.
